Dublin has ranked the second most expensive city in the world for millennials to move to.

A "Young And Broke" study found that Dublin's now less affordable to live in than London.

Jessica Laporte, researcher with international relocation firm MoveHub.com, explained that rent is a massive deterrent for Dublin.

"What we found that people moving to Dublin would end up forking out over half their income just on accommodation, which is absolutely absurd".

"I think the most surprising part of this whole thing is that London outperformed Dublin in terms of affordability", Jessica explained.

Sao Paolo in Brazil is the only city in the world that this study found to be more expensive than Dublin to move to.

It turns out Edinburgh is the best choice, offering the optimal combination of living costs, income and safety for the world’s millennials.

When it comes to rent as a proportion of income, Berlin is the best city to live in.

On average, monthly rent in the German capital takes up just over a quarter of monthly salary.
