A woman in her fifties has died after her caravan blew off a cliff edge during Storm Ali.
It was picked up in high winds in Galway this morning, where it landed in water on the beach below.
It's understood the woman, who was alone, was visiting from Switzerland.
It happened at around 7:45 this morning near Clifden.
Emergency services, including Gardai and the Cleggan Volunteer Coastguard Unit, were involved in the operation.
Health Minister, Simon Harris, said "the hearts of everybody go out to the family affected by this terrible fatality".
