Female Pedestrian In Serious Condition Following Cork Collision

Gardai in Cobh in Co. Cork are investigating a serious road traffic collision which occurred at 8:30am this morning.

The collision happened on Ballynoe Hill, Cobh close to the jct of the Tay Rd Jct.

A 52-year-old female pedestrian was out walking when she was struck by a vehicle which failed to stop.

The female was taken to Cork University hospital where her condition is described as serious.

The road was closed for a time to facilitate a Forensic Collision examination but it has since re-opened.

Gardai are appealing for witnesses or anyone who may have been on that rd between 8am and 8:45am to contact the Gardai in Cobh on 021 4908530.
