2014 was the warmest year on record around the globe.
That's according to new data compiled by US government scientists.
The report says global temperatures last year were point-six-eight degrees celsius above the long-term average.
The data means that 14 of the 15 warmest years on record have occurred since the year 2000.
Climate change expert, Professor John Sweeney of Maynooth University says the report underlines the need for global action.
