Unions are to begin ballotting their members, following yesterday's conclusion of the Landsdowne Road Agreement.
The deal includes two thousand euro pay increases for most public servants, which are expected to happen between January of next year and September of 2017.
They will be achieved through a combination of adjustments to the public service pension levy and a partial reversal of the 2010 public service pay cuts.
Liam Doran, General Secretary of the Irish Nurses and Midwvies Organistion says its now up to union members to decide on the pay deal.
