15 Cars Missing In Rush Credit Union Scandal

Accountants are trying to work out what happened to 15 cars that were supposed to be draw prizes at Rush Credit Union. 

Yesterday liquidators were appointed to the financial institution which has €2.2M in debts.

The cars that disappeared cost €220,000 but Grant Thornton which was asked to examine the credit unions books is unable to work out who won them.

This is just one of a litany of explosive revelations of financial irregularities uncovered at Rush Credit Union.

It emerged as the High Court agreed to appoint liquidators to the north co. Dublin lender.

It's also been revealed that €450,000 has had to be returned to member many of whom were entered into the car draw without their consent.
