Dracula Untold is a mix of fact and fiction, based on Prince Vlad 'The Impaler' Tepes.

Vlad, played by Luke Evan, has to protect his kingdom and family from an invasion from the Turks. In order to do so he turns to The Master Vampire for help.

He makes a deal with him which gives him ultimate strength, speed and enough power to destroy his enemies. He will remain this way for three days and will turn back to human form but only on the condition that he can resist from his newfound need to drink human blood. Thus making him Dracula.

It's not your typical Dracula movie. It's still a horror movie but director Gary Shore has brought it into a fantasy genre. Love and family are central to the movie and you almost begin to empathise with Vlad and his struggles.

It's Gary Shore's first movie so we look forward to seeing more from the Dublin director.
