An appeal for witnesses is underway after a stabbing in Dublin city centre yesterday.
Gardaí say a man was seriously injured during an assault in the area around Rosie Hackett Bridge on Eden Quay at around 4.30pm yesterday afternoon.
He was taken to the Mater hospital for treatment and the scene was preserved for a technical exam.
A man in his 30s was subsequently arrested and taken to a garda station in the city.
Anyone who was in the area between 4 and 5pm yesterday is being asked to come forward. Gardaí are particularly interested in speaking with those who may have mobile phone or dash cam footage.
