Weekend Event Guide: Puppy Play Date, Wine Tour & More

A Puppy Play Date is just one of many cool events going on in Dublin this weekend.

With temperatures set to hit 16 degrees, this is the perfect excuse to get out and explore our fair city.

 

Puppy Play Date

This Saturday get your puppy socialising, with other dogs and humans at the DSPCA. The Puppy Play Date is a 45-minute session providing puppies ages 8 weeks to Six month a safe and fun environment to learn social skills.

This is a FREE event to help you build a lifetime bond with your puppy. While also learning about puppy play and social development from a DSPCA Dog Trainer.

Puppy Play Date takes place this Saturday, kicking off at 10:00 at the DSPCA, Mount Venus Rd, Rathfarnham.

Dublin Wine Trails

See The Capital in a whole new light this Saturday, all while you visit the best wine bars in Dublin.

Join this guided wine and tapas tasting trail, that is steeped in local flavor, discover new wine regions and learn about wine in a fun and relaxed atmosphere.

You can but tickets for the Wine Trail Tour here, which kicks off in the city center at 4:30 Saturday afternoon.

Dublin International Film Festival

The Virgin Media Dublin International Film Festival kicked off on Wednesday, with a with a jam packed program of events.

Now in its 17th year, the festival will run until March 3rd, seeing over 125 events across 12 days.

The festival will feature the finest local and international feature films, short films and documentaries, along with a dedicated children’s and young people’s program and a host of special events featuring  industry leaders.

Dublin South Side Free Tour

Whether you're a tourist or local, get emerged in this this free tour of Dublin's south side

In this tour you'll get to visit the south side of the city and its most important places, while living it first hand.

Tours run Saturday & Sunday 9.30am, 11am & 2pm. Meeting under the Spire on O'Connell Street.

Trinity College, Temple Bar, Dublin Castle, Christchurch Cathedral and St. Patrick’s Cathedral are just some of the stops along the way.

Family Yoga

Get all the family involved this Sunday with a different type weekend activity.

The Happy Circle, in Dundrum have a weekly Yoga class, that is Suitable for children ages 2 plus and adults of all ages and ability level.

This 60 minute class will include some yoga poses, games, fun and relaxation.

Bring your own mat or towel to practice on, and wear comfortable clothing you can move in.
