Temperatures Could Reach 20 Degrees Today & Tomorrow

It looks like we're finally getting some summer weather. According to Met Eireann, temperatures could hit 20 degrees today and tomorrow.

However, the forecaster says the weather will be mixed.

Dublin Forecast

Tuesday

Mostly dry today with variable cloud and sunshine, just the chance of a passing light shower towards evening.

Highs of 17 to 20 degrees. Light winds, with sea breezes developing near the coast this afternoon.

Wednesday

Dry and bright to begin tomorrow with sunny spells. However,  scattered showers will break out during the afternoon, with perhaps the odd heavy one in the mix.

Top temperatures of 17 to 19 in mainly light westerly breezes.

National Forecast

Tuesday

The forecaster says that Tuesday will be dry and bright with some good sunny spells, but cloudy periods also.

There's also the possibility of some showers, mainly over Ulster and Connacht. Highs of 15 to 20 degrees. It will be warmest in more southern areas.

Tonight will be mostly dry with variable cloud and clear spells. More showers will affect Atlantic counties later tonight with lows of 5 to 8 degrees.

Wednesday 

There will be some sunny spells to start on Wednesday, best in eastern and southern areas. Showers will spread countrywide early tomorrow afternoon.

There'll be some heavy downpours in places with a risk of thunder. Top temperatures of 14 to 15 degrees in the west and northwest.

It will be 18 to 20 degrees in parts of east Munster and southwest Leinster.

Met Eireann says mixed weather will persist with temperatures near average for the time of year with sunny spells and scattered showers forecast on Thursday.

Thursday

Another day of sunny spells and showers but with the risk of a more prolonged spell of rain for parts of north and west Ulster.

Top temperatures ranging 13 to 17 degrees, coolest values in the west and northwest.

Largely dry on Thursday night with clear spells and just a few showers. Minimum temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees.

Friday

Many places are looking dry on Friday, but a few showers may affect northern and Atlantic coastal counties.

The best of the sunshine will be through the morning and evening hours, with cloudy periods during the afternoon.

Highs of 15 to 19 degrees. Mainly dry on Friday night with just isolated light showers. Lows of 6 to 9 degrees.

Weekend

Current indications suggest that most of the country will be dry on Saturday with increasing cloud amounts and highs of 16 to 20 degrees.

It could possibly become rather damp or wet by Sunday with outbreaks of rain. Highs of 16 to 19 degrees in moderate southeast breezes.
