Filming on a big-budget Disney sequel has begun today in Enniskerry.

Crowds flocked to the Wicklow town over the weekend, to get a final glimpse of the sets and stars of "Disenchanted".

Enniskerry’s Main Street, which has been transformed into a fairytale village, will be closed to traffic.

The area will be closed to the public from 7am to 10pm today until Friday, as filming gets underway.

Since arriving in Ireland, A-list stars have been spotted out and about in Dublin - including Grey's Anatomy star Patrick Dempsey.

"McDreamy", who plays New York lawyer Robert, even tried the fish and chips in Leo Burdock's in Christchurch.

Other scenes of the musical film will be recorded in Dublin city centre, Greystones and Dundalk over the next four months.

The movie will also feature some Irish talent, with hundreds of extras roped into production.

Last month Walt Disney's Dublin studios put a call out for "technically trained dancers".

"Disenchanted" picks up ten years after Giselle's "happily ever after".

The bubbly princess , who is played by Amy Adams, begins to question her happiness.
