This wasn't a popular one over the weekend!

Drew Barrymore isn't bringing back her daytime talk show amidst the writer's strike after all.

The Hollywood actress was heavily criticised over the weekend when she announced that she was bringing back The Drew Barrymore Show, knowing that it wasn't in compliance with the ongoing writers and actors' strikes.

"I wanted to do this because, as I said, this is bigger than me and there are other people's jobs on the line." the actress said in a video posted online, after she received a lot of backlash for crossing the picket line.

"And since launching live in a pandemic, I just wanted to make a show that was there for people in sensitive times." she added.

She posted the apology video in response to the backlash she was getting for bringing the show back but that video only received even more backlash.

So now it seems Drew has bowed to the pressure and it's been confirmed that she won't be bringing back The Drew Barrymore Show until after the strike is over.

The actress turned chat show host took to Instagram to apologise for the issue.
