There's likely to be no social housing in Dublin's tallest apartment block Capital Dock.

Hence, Dublin City Councillors will learn more about the situation at a meeting today.

Prices start from €3,850 per month. As a result, this makes the apartments on Sir John Rogerson's Quay one of the most expensive places to live in town.

Kennedy Wilson is obliged to provide 10 percent of the 190 apartments for social housing.

Rather than providing the apartments in Capital Dock, it's thought the developer will provide these apartments in Rialto instead.

Dublin City's head of housing Brendan Kenny has been speaking to The Irish Times. He says the apartments in Rialto would represent better value for money for the council.

Talks will get underway today, so an agreement can be finalised.
