Ger Cafferkey has become the latest Mayo footballer to announce his retirement from inter-county football.

The 32-year-old represented the Green and Red for 11 years, making 104 senior appearances.

Cafferkey made his Championship debut under John O'Mahony against New York in 2009.

The Ballina Stephenites clubman won an All-Ireland U21 title, six Connacht titles and an All-Star award in 2012.

Cafferkey missed the 2016 Championship campaign as well as the National League in 2017 due to a serious hamstring injury.

His last appearance for Mayo came against Dublin at Croke Park in February.
