Train services were suspended between Pearse and Connolly Stations for almost 2 hours today.

It's after a truck struck a bridge close to Connolly and became wedged, blocking traffic.

As a result, Amiens Street was closed for around 3 hour as members of Dublin Fire Brigade removed the vehicle.

It has since reopened.

It caused significant disruption to road and rail users.

Irish Rail spokesperson Barry Kenny says services have resumed a normal schedules following speed restrictions for trains at the bridge.
