Walk right by...
Monday 12th May 2008

Hey there,

Who knew organising a table quiz - a simple, blasted table quiz - would require as much, if not more, organisation than The Electric Picnic? Not me. Not me, at all...

Went off without a hitch, anyway. And to all the good folk who filled Sheehans in Blackrock to the rafters - many thanks. We raised just over €2,000 for Cystic Fibrosis Ireland, and I'm almost halfway on the road to raising the five grand I need. (I'm trekking through Brazilian Jungles in aid of Cystic Fibrosis Ireland, starting exactly a month from today. Should be, well, interesting...)

Thanks, too, to the generous folk who laid on the raffle prizes:

Nokia Ireland; Smiles Dental Spa; Skydive Ireland; Mink Hand and Foot Spa, Ballsbrige; Deveney's off-license; Milanos Restaurant; Sixty Six of Geroge's Street; Dali's Blackrock; Bewleys hotel group; and loads more. Thanks a million.

Right, that's about that. Talk tomorrow.

Paul...

Coming up on Monday's Show 12th May

Joe Power the psychic involved in the Shannon Matthews case in Britain will join us live in studio to tell us about the investigation into her whereabouts.  He'll also be free to take your calls after 9pm.

And we'll also give you a chance to air your annoyances on our weekly edition of The Monday Moan.

For details tune in on Monday from 8pm - 10pm.

Prison Love
Thursday 1st May 2008

Hi,

Interesting one, is this.

A prisoner in Arkansashas recently filed a lawsuit after losing over 200 pounds. Only in Amercia, you say; and rightly so. But, interestingly, it's sparked rumours that Paris Hilton, Linsey Lohan and co. may have went to the big house to, well...get small.

Now, to say someone got themselves locked up to lose weight is a little, let's say, bonkers. But it looks set to become the latest celebrity fad. Named the, "Special J Diet" it's sweeping America, and celebrities of all shapes, sizes and orientations are holding up convenience stores, stealing babies from prams, and car-jacking school buses - all in the vain hope of getting arrested.

And you thought we had it bad. Anyway, enjoy the bank holiday weekend. Talk Tuesday.

Paul
