Hiya, The weekend's here again! And I'm off Friday! Tonight is the BIG radio night in Ireland - kinda like our OSCARS! Tis a big swish black tie event, this year in Kilkenny. Nice one 98! We've been nominated in 4 catagories. 2 nods for the Morning Crew, one nomination for our brilliant news team and one for me!! (Best music presenter, or something!) All very exciting. Have to be honest, I'm a bit nervous and obviously hopeful! So just about to hit the road to KK now. Roll on the Red Cow bit!  You have a great weekend. Talk Sunday after 12!

Hi there!! All set for a good weekend??

We're live on board the thunder bus today at the Red Cow Hotel for Tour America! You know the deal - go spend our powerful euro in that third world country that is the US! Joke!!  Been a MAD week. I'm wrecked!! The Secret Sound is driving you and me crazy. We'd really hoped someone would have correctly guessed it at this stage. Play again Monday for up to 18K! O yeah all the wrong guesses are here! 

I met up with some of the guys and girls from the Southern Volks Folks on Wed night in Stillorgan. Good ole Mickey D's! Classy..  The Southern Volks Folks, btw, is a lil club for those of us sad enough to LOVE old VW Beetles. Anyway, what happens, the weather turns really cold, windy and wet and I'm in a 30 year old leaky, barely any heat in it, Beetle! I drop my girlfriend to work in it the next day and she thinks she's travelled in a shopping trolley! Thursday night, out again with a friend of mine I've known since I was eight years old, but haven't seen for nearly 15 years... no I didn't tell him what the secret sound was  - but he asked. Had really nice dinner in "Millers" on Baggot St. You been there? It's really good.  Friday night, out again, for 3 of the 98 staff (sales) leaving drinks! Is it a sign of the credit crunch times we live in that staff are going?? NO - Feckers just got better jobs!! Anyway have a great weekend. I'm going lifting furniture after I finish on air today at 3. Will I damage something  - place your bets here marty.miller@dublins98.ie :)

Hmmmm.. everyone says I was under his spell, completly hypnotised, I'm not so sure!! OK I couldn't read a book outloud that Keith gave me, I couldn't rip a lil piece of paper in two he gave me and I suddenly forgot HOW to use a scissors.. BUT I remember everything. One other guy was speaking maritian to me and yet I knew he was asking what the 98 Secret Sound was and telling me to spill the beans.. Maybe, just maybe, there is something in Keiths skills!!!!!!

Yay!! Great start to the weekend.. I managed to knock myself out and wake up on the concrete floor of my carpark... Big ole smack of an air conditioning unit tends to hurt a lil!! It's WAY worse then it looks in the pic! Awwww. Ha Ha!

BTW - If you're going to see Illusionist Keith Barry on Wednesday night at the Olympia, You'll see me make a fool of myself! (Rather than just hearing me make a fool of myself on air!!) He's going to attempt to hypnotise me live on stage.. see I'm a bit of a non believer!! We'll see.. Giz a shout if you go!!
