Last night was scary in the studio!!!

Before the show last night our psychic Margie told me about some spirits that are in the 98 studios. She told me of the spirit of a young girl that is always in the lift of the 98 studios... AH! Also there is the spirit of an old fisherman in the studio itself! She mentioned that he comes in from the canal which is behind me when I do the show... OMFG!!!!!! ;)

Thank you for all your texts last night about your real life ghost stories... I made it out of the building last night without bumping into the ghost in the lift!!!

Dec & Vena at the 98 Halloween Party, Radio City 30th October 2008

So it's been a busy few weeks since the swim in San Francisco... Well done to all who took part in the Tiburon Mile swim at the beginning of October. We helped raise alot of money for the Special Olympics eastern region.

Last week we all had a great night at the 98 Halloween Party at Radio City. It was fancy dress but as you can see from the photo above I forgot all about that!!! Fair play to everyone who did show up in fancy dress... The Coronas were the headline act and were really good. We should have another 98 party soon enough!

Tonight and all this week on 98 @ Nite I'll be giving you the chance to win lots of cash with the 98 Secret Sound!

Hey!

Greetings from San Francisco! As you may know i'm over here on a charity trip with a group of people from Dublin to raise money for the Special Olympics eastern region. To raise money for the charity we had to swim the Tiburon Mile. This is a 1 nautical mile swim in the open sea across San Francisco Tiburon bay... I DID IT!!!

It was extremely hard to finish but I managed to do it in 50.4mins! The water was freezing and full of jelly fish but it never bothered us...

Well done to all involved and thank you to everyone who supported me including, Vena, Special Olympics Eastern Region crew - Brenda and Liz and all the gang in 98!

I'm updating this blog from a computer in the hotel so I gotta run...

AH!!! 4 days to go now...

I just want to say a big thank you to Brenda and Liz from the Special Olympics Eastern Region office in Dublin. They have been a fantastic support to me over the past few weeks of training and build up to the swim in San Francisco on Sunday. Also fair play to Johnson & Johnson and Dublin's 98 for supporting this event...

This sunday I will be one of many swimmers from all over the world to try and swim the Tiburon Mile in San Francisco... All money raised by the Dublin swimmers will go to the Special Olympics Eastern Region. I'll be travelling over on Friday morning with my girlfriend and the other swimmers from Dublin... Should be fun at least!

...5 Days to go til my swim in San Francisco to raise money for the Special Olympics Eastern Region!

Training went well today - I did a full hour non stop swimming but got a massive cramp in my leg towards the end which scared the c**p out of me... what if that happens in the middle of the open sea!!?? AHH!!
