<![CDATA[The Coronas LIVE in studio]]>The Coronas were live in studio this morning.

There are some cool videos on the blog so have a look.

Plus, there's proof that some of Palin's supporters are openly racist towards Obama. Did we need proof?

<![CDATA[What a night!!]]>Hey there,

I'm still exhausted after a fairly hectic weekend, but it was well worth it. After winning, music driven station of the Year at the PPI radio awards on friday in Kilkenny, I made my way to Athlone to my friend Clare's hen night. Twenty girls on a crazy night out was just what I needed after the madness of the awards, but we're still all here, alive and kicking!!!

Today we had the Coronas live in studio. They were so amazing. Danny has some voice. They're gig is on the 13th of December in the Olympia and they're also guest starring at our 98 world famous Halloween party on October 30th!!!

Check out the crew pictured with the guys on Dave's blog, you'll also see the lads performing in studio.

Happy monday

<![CDATA[Gig Tonight!]]>C'mon it's Monday and you need a laugh! I'm doing Improv at the International tonight on Wicklow Street tonight. It's always a good laugh and, because it's made up on the spot, it's always different to previous weeks. Maybe you don't know what improv is, and that's cool. Know "Who's Line is it Anyway?". It's on the Dave channel every 5 minutes between Top Gears! Here's a little taste and see you tonight!

<![CDATA[celebrations]]>Hi, well we had such a laugh at the PPI Radio Awards in Kilkenny on Friday night. Dublins 98 won Music Station of the Year so no doubt there were celebrations all around....we're all still a bit wrecked but it was worth it. We stayed up till the wee hours, the dj was head wrecked by myself and Dermot asking if I could go up and sing Gloria Estefan (thank God he didn't let us) we'll have all the pics up in the gallery as soon as we find out who was sober enough to take some ha ha.......

On Monday we'll be playing Secret Sound every hour for up to 20 k!!!! and myself and Barry have a thousand euro in cash to give away with thanks to Denny Style Ham Sandwich Squad.......Loux

<![CDATA[I got a long weekend!! (But I'm a bit nervous too!)]]>Hiya, The weekend's here again! And I'm off Friday! Tonight is the BIG radio night in Ireland - kinda like our OSCARS! Tis a big swish black tie event, this year in Kilkenny. Nice one 98! We've been nominated in 4 catagories. 2 nods for the Morning Crew, one nomination for our brilliant news team and one for me!! (Best music presenter, or something!) All very exciting. Have to be honest, I'm a bit nervous and obviously hopeful! So just about to hit the road to KK now. Roll on the Red Cow bit! You have a great weekend. Talk Sunday after 12!

<![CDATA[Aerobic mania on Grafton street!!!]]>

oh my god i really thought the lads went too far this time! My challenge was to get into my leg warmers and do aerobics in a public place!!! You see I've challenged Dermot and Dave to Weight lift in Dundrum Town Centre to prove once and for all that the girls kick ass and we're stronger than the guys!!! So be there on the 18th of October to see me publically humiliate the lads!!! I really want to win. We each have to squat two thirds our body weight for as long as possible and we have to do a plank for as long as possible!!! Can't wait i'll keep you posted on that!!

Meanwhile the lads thought i needed to prove my point and take it to the street, saying if you think girls are stronger than the lads, get out on the street and do aerobics!!!

So I did it for you ladies, to prove we can do it!!!

Bon weekend,

<![CDATA[Monolo Blahnik comes to town!!!]]>Hey there,

I was so chuffed to get to meet up with the most amazing shoe designer in the world, well in the words and world of our favourite singleton Carrie Bradshaw!! Monolo Blahnik. He was in town yesterday to launch his new shoe boutique in Brown Thomas. Oh my god the shoes are to die for, in fact i'd have to die before I could afford them!

But he was such a lovely man and talked at length about how Sex and the City made his shoes almost too famous. He really was unassuming and let me in on a little secret. The shoe Boot is the must have shoe this season plus he lifted the lid on Sarah Jessica Parker's bizarre ritual in Donegal. The lady is a nutter, apparently she goes hiking in her monolos!!! Stop the lights or the cows! ha ha.

I'll be sent a photo very soon of myself and Monolo so i'll keep ya posted.

<![CDATA[Oktoberfest]]>For the first time ever, the original Paulaner Oktoberfest will come from Germany to Dublin, giving Irish people the chance to experience the authentic Oktoberfest festival. A marquee - representative of that in the Oktoberfest in Munich - and German markets, as well as 24 authentic Oktoberfest barmaids will descend on Georges Dock for some German fun, food and entertainment and authentic Bavarian beer.

The traditional German market will feature over thirty German speciality food producers and German traders, who are all travelling to Dublin for the Paulaner Oktoberfest. Visitors will be introduced to the very best of Bavarian food and specialties from sausages, meat, pastries, Käsespätzle (cheese noodles) to mountain cheese and ginger bread hearts.

98FM CARE4KIDS RADIOTHON 2008 – March 7th – 10th, 2008

98FM Care 4 Kids Radiothon has raised over half a million Euro for Ireland’s three children’s hospitals

Click here to see video of the event

The 98FM team are celebrating the success of the Care 4 Kids Radiothon. The four day Radiothon has raised over a whopping ½ a million euro for Ireland’s three children’s hospitals; Our Lady’s Hospital for Children, Crumlin; Temple Street University Hospital; and The National Children’s Hospital, Tallaght.

98FM united for the second time with the Children’s Miracle Network and Ireland’s three children’s hospitals for the award winning ‘Care 4 Kids Radiothon’, to raise much needed funds for sick children.

Listeners made donations by calling or texting the station or by holding their own events in work and at home.

The Radiothon highlighted both moving and poignant stories from ill children all over the country. During the broadcast, parents and staff at the hospitals also shared their tales of joy and woe with the general public.

Have a listen to a piece from that weekend.
