Southside residents say they're concerned about noise pollution and the close proximity of the new set to their homes.
They've lodged two appeals against RTÉ's bid to move Carrigstown to its headquarters in Donnybrook. The current plan features 11 sets and includes new landmarks for the show such as McCoy's pub, the Hungry Pig, the community centre and the charity shop.
The proposals also mean that thirty trees which gave gardens in the neighbourhood privacy may have to be chopped down. Residents have also expressed concern about the visual impact, the noise at night from filming and how close the new set is to their homes.
Planning consultant Colin McGill said in his submission for Ledbetters that there were "unacceptable impacts of the proposed development".
He added that the sets was too close to homes in Nutley Road and that his clients were "extremely concerned".
An Bord Pleanála will make a decision in November on whether to overturn Dublin City Council's decision to relocate Carrigstown.
