Tiger Woods has admitted he is “receiving professional help" to manage his medication, pain and sleep loss.
The 41-year old 14-time major winner was arrested last month on suspicion of driving under the influence.
He insisted his arrest was down to "an unexpected reaction to prescribed medication", and denied that any alcohol was involved.
He has tweeted overnight that he is “currently receiving professional help to manage my medications and the ways that I deal with back pain and a sleep disorder.”
"I want to thank everyone for the amazing outpouring of support and understanding, especially the fans and players on tour."
Woods is currently out of action, as he recovers from a fourth operation on his back.
The former World Number One has now fallen to 945th in the latest Golf World Rankings.
