The much mooted boxing bout between UFC superstar Conor McGregor and the undefeated professional boxer Floyd Mayweather has been confirmed
Reports in US media suggested that the Nevada State Athletic Commission had awarded a license for the fight earlier on Wednesday.
The T-Mobile arena has been booked to host the event for August 26th.
Both fighters appear to have confirmed that the eagerly anticipated bout will go ahead, in posts on their social media accounts on Wednesday evening.
More details could come as early on Friday with US Network Showtime set to screen the bout.
UFC President Dana White spoke to TMZ about the fight. He says it will be a 12 round boxing match.
Both fighters will use 10 ounce gloves and will fight at 154lbs.
