Relegated Hull City have confirmed ex-Russia and CSKA Moscow boss Leonid Slutsky as their new head coach. The 46 year old has only 13 senior club appearances in his whole career but has managed five Russian clubs including CSKA Moscow.
This appointment comes on the back of the news from yesterday evening that Leicester City have given Craig Shakespeare a new three year contract. Shakespeare became Foxes' boss after the sacking of Claudio Ranieri in February.
In other managerial news, Garry Monk has agreed to become manager of recently relegated Middlesbrough and will be appointed later today. Monk played for Swansea for ten years before becoming their boss in 2014. He then moved onto Leeds United and just missed out on a playoff place in the Championship.
