Garry Ringrose says he didn't dwell too long on his British and Irish Lions omission.
The in-form Leinster man was name checked by head coach Warren Gatland as someone who could feel hard done by missing out.
Ringrose though feels having only made his international debut 6 months prior, he wasn't too downbeat:
“I think he’s right in saying he can’t really name a squad outside of a squad that’s already named, there’s so many permutations and changes with form and injuries that might happen between now and them.
“He doesn’t know who he’s going to be calling if he has to call upon anyone, to start pre-calling that wouldn’t really make sense.
“Disappointed wouldn’t be the right word to use it’d suggest I’m putting a dampener on the opportunities I have been given.
“Six months ago I made my debut for Ireland, which I wouldn’t have dreamed of making before then. I’m appreciative of the opportunities I’ve been given so far.
“Even the same week as the Lions squad announcement, we had the semi-final, so no one really dwelled on it that much.”
