St Patrick’s Athletic's struggles continue after they lost for the third time in four games in the SSE Airtricity league.
They slumped to a 2-1 defeat to Finn Harps on Monday night at Richmond Park. Liam Buckley's men have taken just a point from the opening 4 games.
The Saints boss is not panicking yet though: “I’m only looking at the next match, I’m not looking at the table from a relegation point of view or from a European spot point of view. I just want to get our team playing better.
“I’ve been there at both ends when you’re winning you can’t see yourself losing, when you’re losing it’s very difficult to see yourself winning.
“That said there are four games gone, we’ve got a lot of new lads trying to bed in, we’re trying to fit them in, and we’re trying to get a style about our play.
“Obviously it’s not up to speed yet, but we’ve still got a bit of work to do”
Champions Dundalk suffered their first defeat going down 3-1 to Derry. Gary Shaw's brace saw Shamrock Rovers win 2-1 at Galway.
Dinny Corcoran bagged his third goal in a week as Bohemians made it back to back wins by beating Limerick 1-0.
Bray defeated Drogheda 2-1 at the Carlisle Grounds. Cork City top the table after beating Sligo 2-1 at Turner's Cross.
