Rory McIlroy was left disappointed by his final round at the WGC Mexico Championship.
He carded an even par 71 to finish on 10 under, 4 shots behind winner Dustin Johnson.
McIlroy finished tied for seventh, but took some positives out of his return to the course after a numbers of weeks out of action with a rib injury.
“Not very good,” responded McIlroy when asked about his final round.
“I needed to get off to a fast start and I didn’t that was really it.
“I mean you look at what DJ did through sort of the first nine holes, I needed to get off to a start like that.
"The course got a little trickier over the weekend. Maybe I just didn't quite adjust to that.
“All in all, first week back, it's okay but being two ahead going into the weekend, obviously disappointed with the finish I had.”
