Ian Madigan’s future remains the subject of much speculation.
Reports last week had suggested the Dubliner wanted to leave Bordeaux Begles a year early, having fallen out of favour with the Top 14 side.
Madigan subsequently denied that later in the week, but hinted he could still depart France early.
Now, the Northampton Saints have emerged as potential suitors for the former Leinster star.
French newspaper Midi Olimpique says the Saints have offered Madigan a huge £500,000-a-year deal to move to the Aviva Premiership side.
The out half has fallen out of favour with Joe Schmidt since his move to France, and is now behind Johnny Sexton, Paddy Jackson, Ian Keatley and Joey Carbery for the Irish Number 10 jersey.
