Rathmines Stella Cinema To Reopen At Halloween
An iconic Dublin cinema is to reopen as a theatre and cocktail bar on Halloween night. The old two-screen Stella in Rathmines shut 12 years ago after 81 years on the main street.
The venue has been restored with features like a gold lobby and leather seats with small tables for glasses.
Theatre Director of the new Stella, Karl Geraghty, says it's been fantastic to give it a new lease of life.
"It's an incredible place in terms of cinema history, but it's also important in terms of architecture"
"It's got history for days, and has just been a really great project to be part of", he said.
