Ciara Kelly To Replace George Hook On Newstalk
Newstalk has confirmed that Ciara Kelly will replace George Hook's lunchtime show. The GP will take the reins of a new show called ‘Lunchtime Live’ from Monday October 23rd.
Speaking about the new show, Ciara said she was looking forward to getting "stuck into issues people are talking about in their daily lives."
"I am lucky to have a brilliant, dynamic team behind me and we want to make fearless, fresh and compelling radio.”
Adrian Serle, Group CEO of Communicorp, said "Ciara is a great broadcasting talent, a straight talker and will add a great dynamic to our already strong schedule.”
George Hook was taken off air after comments he made about rape during a show in September. He will return to Newstalk for a weekend slot in December.
