A car in which a Kinahan cartel murder victim was shot dead has been burnt out in the grounds of a garda station. It had been stored at Ronanstown since late last year.
Noel Kirwan was in his black Ford Mondeo in Clondalkin when he was shot dead last December. The 62-year-old's car was taken away for forensic testing, and had been kept at Ronanstown Garda Station ever since.
Last Friday night, officers at the station called Dublin Fire Brigade when they noticed the vehicle in flames.
Nothing could be salvaged, but it's understood tests had long been completed before the attack - and there was no evidence left to gather.
Gardaí have confirmed they're investigating an "an incident of criminal damage" at Ronanstown Garda Station on Friday 4th August at 11.45pm.
