A boy accused of attacking staff at Oberstown Youth Detention Campus in Lusk is to be tried in an adult court.
The 17 year old is also charged with causing tens of thousands of euro in damage over four dates in 2016..
A judge yesterday ruled that the charges against the teen are too serious for the Children's Court.
A court heard metal poles were used to attack staff and €26,000 of vandalism was caused to the centre during violence which broke out last Halloween.
The 17 year old accused is charged with stealing a security fob, assaulting a manager and criminal damage.
He's also charged with throwing a laptop at a teacher back in September, who fled the room in fear for her life.
A Garda told the Children's Court he wasn't the main instigator of the four clashes which caused a total of €54000 in criminal damage.
