Commuters should expect major disruption from today as the Luas Cross City project ramps up a gear.
Luas Cross City is warning there'll be heavy delays approaching O'Connell Bridge from this morning.
However on Friday the disruption will be even worse because the south quays at Aston Quay and Burgh Quay will close completely.
They'll be out-of-bounds until Saturday the 12th of August but O’Connell Bridge will remain open to Northbound and Southbound traffic.
It's going to effect the Dubs match at Croker and other events around town, so Luas Cross City has drawn maps of diversion options.

LCC's Grainne Macken has told 98FM News there will be significant disruption but this will be the last big significant piece of work that needs to be done.
"We're doing a full road reconstruction around the quays area. For the last few years we've been digging up the road and laying utilities and tracks and temporary resurfacing has been put in place. So it looks quite scarred and battered. What we're doing now is we are reconstructing the whole road so that when it's done, it's done and it's finished to a very high standard."
