It's reported a Dublin dad sent a worried text to a friend before his body was found in Colombia.
It's understood the body of Joe Moore was discovered on the second of May, by Colombian police who believe he may have been the victim of a gangland killing.
The popular Ballyfermot dad had been living in Spain for several years and it's not known why he travelled to South America.
It took almost a month before police could identify him and inform his relatives.
According to The Irish Sun, in the days before his death, the 55 year old sent a text to a friend saying he feared for his safety.
His funeral took place in Ballyfermot earlier this month after his body was brought home with the help of the Kevin Bell Trust.
The Department of Foreign Affairs says its aware of the case and is offering consular assistance.
