Sports Direct, which is moving into Boyers on North Earl Street, has been hit with an enforcement notice.
It's taken over six floors of the iconic building but Dublin City Council is unhappy with a number of changes made to the property.
It relates to an entrance which doesn't have planning permission around the corner on Cathedral Street, and the bold blue and red lettering of the company's logo.
According to The Herald, the local authority's told the retailer to return the facade to its original condition by the 28th of September.
Sports Direct has also been told to refund the cost to the council of investigating and enforcing the matter.
The retail chain is run by the same man who owns Newcastle United.
