Fifteen extra Dublin Bike stations are going to be placed between Smithfield and Grangegorman.
The announcement has been made as JustEat takes over as sponsor of the scheme, which is getting 100 new bikes.
The takeaway delivery company has been named as the new commercial partner for the transport scheme. The branding will be in place from the end of August.
Lord Mayor Micheál MacDonncha says "this commercial partnership with Just Eat will play an important role in further developing the success of the scheme and in the promotion of cycling in the city.”
(Does it sound like an exasperated person telling you to have a munch on a bike, though? Just Wondering!)
CC's assistant CEO Richard Shakespeare admits there is still an overall funding issue for the transport scheme.
"We just need to explore all avenues to try to extend the scheme out to where people want it to be extended."
