The defence team will begin challenging video evidence in the Ibrahim Halawa trial in Egypt today.
The Dubliner’s trial was adjourned last week for the 26th time.
He is on trial with 493 other people.
Ibrahim has now spent nearly four years in prison since his arrest during demonstrations in August 2013.
Colm O'Gorman, Executive Director of Amnesty International Ireland, explained that a number of defence lawyers are going to challenge video evidence that was presented to the court.
He noted that experts found the evidence identified only two of the hundreds of defendants in the case.
"It in no way linked Ibraim Halawa to the charges that are being against him," Colm stressed.
