An Irish woman has died while trekking in Africa.
The 35-year-old woman from Cork was with a charity fundraising group who had travelled to Mount Kilimanjaro.
It is understood she became unwell at an altitude of 4,000 metres.
She died of unknown causes yesterday while being treated by a doctor at the scene.
The Earth's Edge travel group confirmed one of its clients had died while on Kilimanjaro.
The company said: "Our thoughts and condolences are with her family. We will provide further information on this incident in due course."
