New student accommodation in the city centre is expected to provide space for 1,700 students by the end of next year.
The Higher Education Authority (HEA) say there are around 25,000 students who need somewhere to stay.
Development company Hines has opened its third student development on Dorset Street to try deal with demand.
Dorset Point will cost you €235 a week - but it includes facilities like a gym membership and Wifi.
Trinity Student Siun is from Dundalk: "I did apply to another place up in Dublin and I didn't get in - I was like seven-hundred-and-something on the waiting list."
He says the cost of Dorset Point is worth it: "I think for the cost it's pretty much justified.
"It does cover bills, electricity, heating, study room, everything".
