Gardai are renewing their appeal for information about a man last seen in Ballyfermot in 2015.
Barry Corcoran from Co. Wicklow was 39 at the time of his disappearance. He was last spotted at a house on Cremona Road on the night of the 6th of July.
Detectives say he was docile character who had a daughter who 'was very attached' to him. They've asked Barry, if he's alive, to make contact with his family to let them know if he's OK.
They're also looking at the possibility he was murdered. In the weeks following his disappearance, a letter with specific information led them to carry out digs in search of remains but nothing was ever found.
Officers say he is "described as 5’11” and of thin build. He has short grey hair and blue eyes and is described as walking with a slight ‘shuffle’ and also has having an old scar on the bridge of his nose. When Barry was last seen he was wearing a dark rain jacket, blue jeans and black Puma runners."
Detectives are confident someone knows what happened to the 38 year old dad of one and that they can report information to them anonymously.
They say they can call Crimestoppers on 1800 25 00 25. Detective Superintendent Colm O'Malley at Clondalkin Garda Station says people can even call his mobile directly and confidentially on 086 8282480.
"Callers do not need to leave their name or address. You may receive a reward for information which significantly the investigation. Alternatively, the public can contact us at Ballyfermot Garda Station or any Garda Station."
