Over 4000 young people in Dublin are unemployed for six months or more.
That's the latest figure from the Department of Social Protection.
The National Youth Council of Ireland says that number, along with the 11,000 figure of young people who are long-term unemployed nationally, is too high.
James Doorley, NYCI Deputy Director said: “We are concerned at the number of young people who are unemployed in Dublin, particularly those unemployed for six months or more. This disappointing figure is mirrored at the national level, where we have over 11,711 young people long-term unemployed."
