Six homes in Tallaght, Drimnagh, Balbriggan and Tyrrellstown have been raided as part of an international crackdown on card fraud.
Gardai and Retail Excellence Ireland have joined forces following a spike in 'Card Not Present' scams.
That's when credit or debit cards aren't physically presented when paying for items.
One person has been arrested and questioned at Balbriggan Garda Station.
Gardai say consumers are vulnerable because most CNP fraud involves the use of details that "have been obtained through skimming, hacking, email phishing, telephone solicitations or other unlawful methods. The compromised payment card details are then used to facilitate fraudulent transactions."
