One of Dublin's most recognised buildings is going on sale. The Department of Justice on Stephen's Green comes with an asking price of €20m.
It was originally home to the Centenary Church of Ireland, which burned down in 1968, and the building is now described as "a landmark office headquarters with pillared listed façade and a modern office extension".
The four-storey building, including a Townhouse and 20 basement car parking spaces, is let to the Irish Department of Justice, but that lease is up in June 2018.
Dessie Kilkenny of Savills said "This is certainly one of the most exciting asset management opportunities, in a truly prime district, to have ever been offered for sale in Ireland."
Speculation has been raised that the State may be interested in buying No. 94 St Stephen's Green, given the appearance of a stately headquarters, and how close it is to the Dail.
