200 thousand euro in cash has been frozen and a number of high ended watches have been seized in a series of raids in Dublin.
The Criminal Assets Bureau is leading the operation and is being supported by the Armed Support Unit, the Special Crime Task Force and local gardai. The raids have been targeting car dealerships and privates homes in the south and west of the city.
Sources say the group being targeted is not associated with either the Kinahan or Hutch crime gangs, but they are described as a significant organised crime group that operates in Dublin.
So far a bank account with 200 thousand euro has been frozen, and 30 thousand euro in cash has been seized along with a number of high end watches.
Gardai say the operation is still live this afternoon and searches are continuing.
