The LUAS Cross City works are almost coming to an end, which means new trams are going to start test-runs on the streets of Dublin alongside other traffic. This means some flows are going to change permanently.
From 28th May Dominick Street Lower will become a one-way street to cater for traffic travelling in the southbound direction only.
According to LUAS bosses, traffic coming from the Bolton Street / Dorset Street Lower junction will have to travel southbound along Dominick Street Lower to the Parnell Street junction.
The following traffic alterations will be in place to accommodate the change in direction of travel on Dominick Street Lower:
»» Traffic travelling eastbound on Bolton Street may turn right onto Dominick Street Lower
Dorset Street Upper
»» Traffic travelling westbound on Dorset Street Upper may turn left onto Dominick Street Lower
»» Traffic travelling eastbound on Dominick Lane must turn right onto Dominick Street Lower
»» Traffic travelling westbound on Dominick Place must turn left onto Dominick Street Lower
»» There will be no entry to Dominick Street Lower from Parnell Street.
Dominick Street Lower
»» Traffic on Dominick Street Lower may turn right onto Dominick Lane
»» At the junction with Parnell Street, traffic on Dominick Street Lower must turn left onto Parnell Street.
To coincide with the change in direction of Dominick Street Lower the temporary left turn ban from Parnell Street to Parnell Square West will be lifted, meaning traffic travelling east on Parnell Street must turn left onto Parnell Square West.
