Cigarettes worth almost €6000 have been seized as part of a crackdown on illegal trading on Moore Street.
Officers found them during the search of a a house in the Dublin 7 area earlier today. The cigarettes are branded ‘Gold Classic, ‘821’ and ‘Dorchester’ and the tobacco is branded ‘Flandria’ and ‘Samson’.
The total retail value of the contraband tobacco products is over €5,700.
An Irish woman in her twenties has been questioned.
Revenue are asking anyone who knows of someone evading tax or involved in smuggling to call its Confidential Freephone line on 1800 295 295.
