Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to an armed cash in transit robbery in the northside.
A man made off with a cash box after threatening an employee with gun yesterday morning.
At about 11:30am yesterday morning, a cash-in-transit employee left his van outside the Eurospar shop at Bayside Shopping Centre while making a delivery.
He was approached by a man wearing a grey tracksuit top and bottoms with the hood pulled up and a black ski mask who threatened him with a gun. The man left the scene with the cash box in a waiting car.
A black Opel Vectra was later found in the front carpark of Bayside Train Station.
Gardai wish to appeal for witnesses who may have seen anything unusual or suspicious in and around the Bayside Shopping Center, Bayside Dart Station and Seacliffe Drive areas yesterday morning before and after the incident.
