A new campaign to crackdown on social welfare fraud is being launched today.
Last year the number of anonymous tip-offs about suspected cases were up by 60% on the previous year.
Most of the complaints were over jobseekers allowance followed by fake claims for the one parent family payment.
The hard-hitting campaign is calling on members of the public to report anyone they think is breaking the law and sponging off the system.
In 2015, the government introduced facial imaging software to detect people claiming welfare payments using more than one identity.
Todays campaign will be launched by the Minister for Social Welfare, Leo Varadkar.
