The grandson of the pensioner who was shot in the leg has revealed they know who her attacker is.
77 year old May Brown was shot in the leg on her doorstep in Monkstown last Thursday night.
May Brown's grandson Stephen, has revealed to the Sunday World that he was the intended target.
Stephen also told them that his grandmother was able to identify who the attacker was when shown pictures.
He explained the man was after him for a stupid incident and that they had visited the house before, throwing a bar at the front porch and saying "we'll be back."
Two men aged 29 and 31 were arrested by gardai on Saturday morning in connection to the investigation.
Gardai confirmed that the two men were released without charge last night.
