Police in Sweden say two people have been killed after a truck was driven into crowds in Stockholm. Several others have been injured.
It happened on Queen Street, one of the city's major pedestrian streets, just before 3pm local time. Local media reports there has been gunfire heard in another area of the city centre.
Sweden's prime minister says one person has been arrested.
Irish people in Stockholm are being advised to stay in a safe place indoors. The Irish Embassy in the city says its monitoring the ongoing situation.
