Work on DIT's new campus has been delayed for 2 years.
It's due to a failed legal challenge to build two buildings on the Grangegorman site.
DIT Grangegorman was due to become home to 10,000 students this September.
But according to the Irish Independent, the big launch won't happen until September 2019.
The delay is due to an unsuccessful legal challenge taken by the company which didn't win the contract to build its two main teaching blocks.
While the case was underway construction couldn't take place.
It means that the cost of building the blocks is expected to rise from its estimated cost of €485.5 million and the main body of students will have to wait 2 years to move to the new north side facility.
